Replace a damaged garage door bottom carrier or install a completely new bottom sealing system with this strong, corrosion-resistant aluminium seal carrier.

The carrier mounts along the bottom edge of your garage door and securely holds a compatible slide-in rubber seal. Once fitted with the appropriate seal, it helps reduce water, draughts, dust, leaves, insects and other debris entering underneath the door.

Suitable for compatible roller garage doors and sectional garage doors.

IMPORTANT: This listing is for the aluminium carrier only. The rubber seal is not included.

Available Carrier Widths

Choose from:

• 1.5 metres – supplied as 1 × 1.5 m section
• 3 metres – supplied as 2 × 1.5 m sections
• 4.5 metres – supplied as 3 × 1.5 m sections
• 6 metres – supplied as 4 × 1.5 m sections

All nationwide orders are supplied in manageable 1.5 m aluminium sections. The sections are installed end-to-end and can be trimmed to the exact width of your garage door.

Measure the full width of your door before ordering. If your door falls between the available sizes, select the next size up and trim the final section during installation.

Example: If your door measures 4.2 metres wide, select the 4.5-metre carrier option.

Will This Carrier Fit My Garage Door?

This carrier is designed for compatible roller and sectional garage doors, including the common door styles shown in the product photographs.

If your garage door looks like one of the doors pictured and has a suitable flat mounting surface along its bottom edge, this carrier should be suitable.

Before ordering, check that your door has:

• A reasonably flat surface along the bottom edge
• At least approximately 15 mm of usable mounting surface
• A suitable surface for screws or pop rivets
• Adequate clearance for the 25 mm-wide aluminium profile
• No hardware or obstructions preventing secure installation

Garage door designs can vary between brands, models and manufacturing years. Please check the measurements and product photographs before purchasing.

If you are unsure, send us a clear photograph of the inside and underside of your garage door before ordering.

Width and Quantity Guide

• Door up to 1.5 m wide: 1 section
• Door up to 3 m wide: 2 sections

For reference, wider doors would require:

• Door up to 7.5 m wide: 5 individual 1.5 m sections
• Door up to 9 m wide: 6 individual 1.5 m sections

The 7.5 m and 9 m sizes are not available as standard product options. Contact Premium Garage Doors if you require carrier for a door wider than 6 metres.

Installation Guide

1. Measure the complete width of the garage door.
2. Select the carrier option equal to or longer than the required width.
3. Cut the final aluminium section to the required size.
4. Position the carrier evenly along the bottom edge of the door.
5. Align all section joins as smoothly and accurately as possible.
6. Fix the carrier securely using appropriate screws or pop rivets.
7. Remove any sharp edges, burrs and drilling swarf.
8. Slide the compatible rubber seal through the carrier.
9. Trim the rubber seal to the completed door width.
10. Secure or crimp the ends if required to prevent movement.

When joining multiple sections, make sure the internal channels line up cleanly. A small amount of soapy water or silicone-based lubricant can help the rubber seal pass through the joins.

Fixings are not included unless specifically stated, as the correct fixing type depends on the material and construction of the garage door.

Important Installation Notes

• Rubber seal is not included with this carrier-only listing
• All nationwide orders are supplied in 1.5 m sections
• The carrier must be installed straight and securely
• Poorly aligned joins can make the rubber seal difficult to insert
• Sharp edges and drilling swarf must be removed before fitting the seal
• Do not drill into cables, brackets, fasteners or other door hardware
• Do not adjust springs, cables or other tensioned components
• Check that the carrier and seal will not interfere with the tracks, guides or closing position
• If the door is damaged or unbalanced, arrange professional inspection before installation
