This kit includes both the flexible rubber seal and the aluminium carrier, giving you everything required to replace a missing, damaged or unsuitable garage door bottom seal system.

The rubber seal is supplied in one continuous length. The aluminium carrier is supplied in manageable 1.5-metre sections for convenient nationwide delivery.

WILL THIS KIT FIT MY GARAGE DOOR?

This kit is designed for most compatible:

• Roller garage doors
• Sectional or panel garage doors

It is compatible with many common New Zealand garage door brands, including B&D, Garador, Dominator, PGD, Nu-Style, Sovereign and others—provided the bottom of the door meets the mounting requirements.

Compatibility is determined by the shape and measurements of the bottom of your door, not the brand name alone.

CHECK YOUR DOOR BEFORE ORDERING

The aluminium carrier is approximately 25mm wide and must be fixed to a flat surface along the bottom of the garage door.

Before ordering, check that your door has:

• Approximately 15–25mm of flat mounting surface
• A suitable surface for screws or pop rivets
• Enough clearance for the carrier and hanging rubber seal
• A straight and structurally sound bottom edge

Please compare the bottom of your door with the product photographs and specifications.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1 – SECURE THE DOOR

Secure the garage door before beginning installation.

STEP 2 – REMOVE THE OLD SYSTEM

Remove the existing rubber seal and damaged carrier, if fitted.

STEP 3 – MEASURE THE CARRIER

Measure the full width of the door and trim the aluminium carrier sections if required.

STEP 4 – MOUNT THE CARRIER

Position the carrier along the bottom of the door and fix it using screws or pop rivets suitable for your door material.

STEP 5 – ALIGN THE JOINS

Join multiple carrier sections end-to-end. Carefully align the internal channels so the rubber seal can pass smoothly through each join.

STEP 6 – INSERT THE RUBBER SEAL

Slide the continuous rubber seal through the aluminium carrier.

A small amount of silicone lubricant or soapy water can help the rubber slide through the carrier. Avoid petroleum-based oils, as these may damage some rubber materials.

STEP 7 – TRIM AND SECURE

Trim the rubber seal to the finished width. Lightly crimp or secure both ends to help prevent the seal from moving or shrinking.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

Do not adjust or interfere with garage door springs, lifting cables or counterbalance components during installation.

If your garage door is damaged, unbalanced, difficult to operate or has broken components, contact a qualified garage door technician before installing the seal system.
