Gap coverage will vary depending on the shape and position of the carrier, door adjustment and floor level.

Quick and Easy Installation

1. Open the garage door and safely secure it.

2. Remove the old or damaged seal from the bottom carrier.

3. Clean dirt and debris from inside the carrier channels.

4. Apply a small amount of soapy water or suitable lubricant if required.

5. Slide the new seal evenly into the carrier.

6. Centre the seal and trim it to the finished door width.

7. Crimp or secure the ends if required to prevent movement.

For wider doors, having a second person feed the seal into the carrier can make installation easier.

Do not place your hands near springs, cables or other tensioned garage door components. If the door is damaged, unbalanced or unsafe to operate, arrange professional servicing before attempting installation.

When Should the Bottom Seal Be Replaced?

Replacement may be required if:

The carrier has an approximately 25 mm-wide flat mounting surface. Your garage door generally requires a suitable flat section of at least 15 mm along its bottom edge to allow secure fixing.
